Reign FC Unveils Jess Fishlock Bobblehead for Queen's Match Send-off

Seattle Reign FC on September 15 revealed a limited-edition Jess Fishlock bobblehead, the club's first bobblehead release since Hope Solo's back in 2017. The collectible ties into the Jess Fishlock Bobble Bundle, which pairs the figurine with a ticket to the Reign's second annual Queen's Match at Lumen Field on Friday, October 2, against the North Carolina Courage. Kickoff is 7:00 p.m. PT, with the match airing on NWSL+.

Every Season Ticket Member account will also receive a bobblehead, available for pickup at the match. The bundle is otherwise the only way for fans to get one, and the timing makes sense given what this season represents. Fishlock is retiring at the end of 2026, closing out a 14-year run in Seattle that started with the league itself.

The design leans into her history with the club. The bobblehead shows Fishlock in Reign FC's 2026 third jersey, known as "The Surge Kit," wearing the No. 10 that no other player in franchise history has worn. She's captured in her trademark goal celebration, arms spread wide, with the captain's armband visible. A dragon sits next to her, a nod to her "Tiny Welsh Dragon" nickname and her long international career with Wales.

Fishlock announced her retirement plans on April 21, and the Queen's Match on October 2 will serve as a celebration of what she's meant to this organization. Her final regular season home match at Lumen Field is set for Sunday, November 1, against the Orlando Pride, which will be the real emotional finish line for Reign fans this fall.

A Career Worth the Send-off

The numbers explain why the club is going to this length for a bobblehead. Fishlock debuted in the NWSL's first season in 2013 and has logged 225 regular season appearances, second in club history and third in league history. Her 17,905 regular season minutes rank second for Reign FC and fifth across the NWSL.

She's the franchise's all-time leader in goal contributions with 80, made up of 50 goals and 30 assists. Those 50 goals sit second in club history and 10th league-wide, while her 30 assists are a franchise record and the fifth-most in NWSL history. Last season, at age 39, she still scored six goals to share the team lead and take home the Reign FC Golden Boot. She's also one of just four players in league history to reach 100 regular season wins.

Fishlock has helped Seattle win three NWSL Shields, in 2014, 2015 and 2022, and reach three NWSL Championship matches, in 2014, 2015 and 2023. She was named NWSL MVP in 2021 and has made the NWSL Best XI seven times, the most in club history and second-most in league history.

Her résumé stretches well beyond Seattle. Fishlock retired from international play in 2025 as the most decorated player in Welsh football history, finishing as Wales' all-time leader in both caps (166) and goals (48) across the men's and women's national programs. She became the first Welsh player to reach 100 caps in 2017 and has captained the national team since 2012. She led Wales to its first major tournament appearance at UEFA Women's EURO 2025 and scored the country's first goal in that competition.

A bobblehead is a small thing compared to a resume like that, but the club clearly understands the moment. Fishlock has been the face of this franchise since before it had a stable one, and giving her a proper goodbye, complete with a dragon on her shoulder, feels like the right instinct. October 2 will be a celebration. November 1 will be the goodbye.
